Apsara

introduction | a new broken consort | die kleine kammermusik

photo © Denis Brissinck

During the 16th century the recorder was an important part of musical life, in the whole consort as well in the broken consort. Since whole consort means an ensemble with instruments of only one family, a broken consort consists of various instruments from different families. It is this tradition which APSARA as a new broken consort wishes to keep and extend.
